With over thirteen years of experience as a Qualified Teacher and Coach I have been able to offer students a wealth of knowledge covering every element of the Essex Consortium (CSSE), Redbridge (GL) and Chelmsford Girls ( FSCE) Exam Syllabus.
I challenge myself yearly taking children of all abilities and progressing them through year 4 and year 5; each year reaching a record 85% plus pass rate with even years at 100%. Together, by coaching parents and providing them with the tools to help their children we work hard and closely to enable these passes.
About Me
I qualified as a BEng in Software Engineering in 2003 and worked as a Software Tester for many years. Later on in life, after two children, I decided to go back to education and complete my Postgraduation in Education and became a Qualified Teacher.
My love and passion for teaching others just held a special place in my heart and the reward for seeing them succeed is unparalleled. Hence, I want to always raise the bar for myself and the children. My own children successfully passed their grammar school exams and studied at top grammar schools giving them a great start in life so I can really relate to how parents feel and the obstacles they will face. Classes
Year 4 sessions are once a week for 90 mins, covering Mathematics, English Comprehension, Creative writing, Spellings and Grammar with a big push on Vocabulary. Year 5 sessions are twice a week for 90 mins each. One session covers Mathematics and Non-verbal reasoning. The other session covers English Comprehension, Creative writing, Spellings and Grammar with a big push on Verbal Reasoning and Vocabulary. Year 6 Sessions are Zoom only, 60 minutes covering Mathematics, English and SPaG for the SATs exams. Year 3 sessions will be starting soon…

I feel that it is imperative to have a great relationship with the child and parent so I have a non-binding contract and feel parents should only commit to a minimum of four weeks to get a grasp of whether we all work well together as this is what leads to a solid foundation in learning. I am available to parents daily on weekdays to discuss work and always provide feedback on where they can improve.
